PASSPORTS AND VISAS

All foreign visitors entering Bulgaria must carry a valid identification document (e.g., a passport) and, if necessary, a visa. Citizens of the European Union and the European Economic Area need an ID card only. Please, check with the nearest Bulgarian Consular Office in your country and, if necessary, apply for a Bulgarian entry visa well in advance.
